We all will agree that good hair can make or break your look. When it comes to hair care even those who are not particular about grooming make sure that they do make that little bit extra effort on their hair. And I’m no different.
Ever since I moved cities more than a decade ago, my hair texture completely changed. The hard water here was one of the biggest factors. Followed by 2 pregnancies and all the hormonal changes my hair went from being smooth and straight to frizzy and wavy. This accompanied by hair fall mad hair care very important for me.
I’ve experimented with many product brands – shampoos, conditioners, masks, and oils to achieve desired results but I still find myself looking for more organic products that don’t burn a hole in the pocket and at the same time provided the desired results.
Mamaearth Anti hair fall kit
When I received the Mamaearth anti hair fall kit I was super happy and really excited to try it. Simply because Mamaearth has become my favorite brand for many of my daily needs for me as well as the kiddos and I expected nothing but excellence in this range too.
Unfortunately, my daughter met with an accident and I was unable to start using this since I was occupied with her recovery. This accident was a very stressful period and as you would expect hair fall was at its maximum. And this was the perfect time for me to try these products

Ingredients and my views
Mamaearth Root restore hair oil
The hair oil is a blend of Coconut oil, Almond oil, Olive oil, Orange oil, Rosemary oil, Palmarosa oil, Evening primrose oil, Jojoba oil, Cinnamon bark oil, Bhringraj and Vitamin E.
The oil comes in a small bottle with a pump. It is not thick but slightly runny. I quite liked the rosemary fragrance that came the moment I pumped out some quantity. As recommended I used this only on my scalp massaging it with my fingertips. The oil was totally absorbed and also didn’t leave much stickiness. For those with a sensitive nose, the smell too didn’t stay long so you didn’t have to worry about people around you getting the smell from your hair.
Mamaearth Happy Heads Shampoo
This shampoo comes in a bottle with a pump dispenser that can be locked. It is clear with a runny consistency with a very mild fragrance.
Since we get hard water, like any other product, we need to use a little bit more than regular to get a good lather. I need a couple of applications of this when removing oil, and when using on un-oiled hair, one application is sufficient to leave the hair clean. It gets rinsed off easily and leaves the hair and scalp squeaky clean. Having an oily scalp with dry hair, I cannot just use the shampoo without conditioning.
Mamaearth No more tangles conditioner
This too came in a bottle just like the shampoo. So it’s difficult to recognize the difference between the shampoo and conditioner just from the bottle shape without reading the label. The conditioner is of a thick consistency but not as heavy as the chemical based ones.
Due to the light-weight consistency as well as my over dry hair, I need to use a bit more of the product than I normally do. I leave it on for a good 5-7 minutes and can feel the hair getting detangled. Also, the hair becomes much softer with a good and visible reduction of frizz. I can’t skip the conditioning step with my hair type and am glad I found this chemical free one so I can use it without worrying about the harsh chemicals.
Mamaearth Pro-grow hair tonic
This comes in a bottle with a spray nozzle. The consistency is not gel based like the leave in serum but is a watery consistency. It has a mild fragrance to it which disappears after application.
It is recommended to use this on the scalp and has ingredients that promote hair growth. Application of this did nothing to change the texture of my hair (and neither did I expect) but I’m sure its working on strengthening the roots
Overall performance against hair fall
I’ve used this kit for more than 3 weeks regularly now, and while I didn’t really notice any difference in the first week, I am now noticing some reduction in my hair fall. The hair coming out on the comb, especially the 2nd time combing onwards have reduced considerably. Also, the hair does have an overall tamed and lesser frizzed appearance which I quite like.
Being a natural product you cannot expect instant outcomes, but with consistent usage, you can see visible changes to both the hair fall and hair texture and I think that’s the best part about this range of chemical-free anti-hair fall kit
Where to buy
Priced at 1596, this is currently available for an introductory price of 999 on Amazon or Mamaearth website. It is priced really well and a must try if you are looking to move to going chemical free. Helping with the hair fall and improving the texture, this can also be an amazing gift or buy for new moms who face hair issues post-partum. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.
