    Freedom from Procrastination

Procrastination, as explained in the dictionary, is the action of delaying or postponing something. It is the act of avoiding activities or responsibilities right up till the time you can no longer avoid them.

How often we find ourselves postponing those important things that we should be taking up immediately โ€“ be it starting to exercise or working on a relationship or spending more time on a hobby or even something like making sure to hit the bed on time. We keep giving ourselves different reasons and try to convince ourselves why now is not the right time or why it will be more beneficial and helpful if we start later. And we are so good at convincing ourselves. And the funny part is that when the self-imposed deadline arrives, we again find other reasons to convince ourselves to postpone the said action.

    Why procrastinators procrastinate?

So, on our countryโ€™s 72nd Independence Day I want to share a funny but eye-opening video I came across, which can act as a motivator to set you on a path to freedom from procrastination.

Once we understand our reasons for procrastination, it is easier to help motivate ourselves to work on getting rid of this habit and use our time wisely and attain freedom from procrastination.

I have been working in the software technology services space for over 15 years. In my professional life I help in implementing quality standards like ISO, CMMi & Six Sigma to make developers and testers jobs easier & process oriented. Through this blog I am sharing similar techniques coupled with age old wisdom from my mom and grand mom to make our living healthier and medicine free. To work in any new field, it helps if you read and train too, and I did the same. Have got a diploma in Naturopathy from Mumbai to enhance my knowledge and skills on this topic that I am passionate about

If we realize that we have limited time on this planet we will stop procrastinating.

I kicked this habit by using the 5 seconds rule. It kicks my behind into action every time I want to snuggle up and delay.

Procrastination is sometimes due to deficiencies which are not caught on time. It’s also a state of mind. One or the other reason, this is definitely a good quality. #surreads #myfriendalexa #blogchatter

I am a huge procrastinator so much so that everyone around me gets annoyed… I think I know the reasons as well… Now it is time for me to get freedom from them! Or should I procrastinate about that also ๐Ÿ˜€

My biggest enemy is procrastination. Seriously…its such a sweet poison. It gives pleasure today to keep things tomorrow and kills the tomorrow itself. Wonderful post.

Maybe, just maybe, I am a partial procrastinator, if there is such a thing!:P Guess, my moods take over at such moments when I wish the job completed itself, instead of me completing it. But, over the past some months, thankfully, I prefer finishing the work, on most days, so that I can sit and relax, contentedly!

One thing that change the way we progress in life is keeping this word “procrastination” at bay, and easier said than done. Hence we are in someway trapped in the prism of procrastination, and not knowing what to do and how to come out and we keep giving the fuel to the engine that takes life in back gear. We need to unearth the reason behind the scene…
