Momsmethods recently received an award – “Blogger recognition award”.  I want to first start off by saying THANK YOU to  CRISLY ZERRUDO who blogs at https://crislyxyz.wordpress.com for taking the time to go through Momsmethods and nominate us. We have received this award for the first time and are so grateful to be accepting it.

As part of accepting the blogger recognition award, I have to-

  • Write a blog to showcase the award
  • Give a brief story on how moms method started
  • Give   two pieces of advice to new bloggers

So here we go

How Moms method’s started

After my first baby, I took a sabbatical from my job so that I could be home to raise the kiddos. During my parenting journey, my first option whenever my baby would fall ill would be using ingredients from my kitchen. Having a naturopath mom and doing the diploma myself was an added benefit. Slowly, I started having fixed go-to remedies for different ailments and even became the point of contact amongst friends for any kind of home or natural remedy.

Being a workaholic at my workplace, I was always looking to do something or the other at home when the baby was asleep or whenever I did somehow manage some time. That’s how I started Momsmethods with an aim to share simple remedies, ingredients, and tips to help heal and stay healthy using natural methods.

Some advice to new bloggers

Patience is the key

Blogging is a lot of hard work since it just does not stop at writing.  Reaching it to the right audience is the key and that takes a lot of hard-work, promotion and most of all patience. Never give up even if you feel that you are not getting the required results. Try and try and you will surely succeed

Analysis

Reaching out to the audience also has a lot to do with when and where you are sharing your content. So do a detailed analysis on the times of day you get maximum engagement or the media which gives you maximum readership.

About Author

I am a stay at home mom, having worked in the software technology services space for over 10 years. In my professional life I used to enforce quality standards like CMMi & Six Sigma to make developers and testers jobs easier & process oriented. In my current stint I am using similar techniques coupled with age old wisdom from my mom and grand mom to make our living healthier and medicine free. To start any new stint it helps if you read and train and so I got myself a diploma in Naturopathy from Mumbai.
